I paint to connect with the world around me. I am thrilled when my work reaches people in a special and intimate way. I feel an artist is fueled by the impact she has on her audience and their joy feeds her soul.

Painting has always felt natural to me ever since I was four years old and picked up a pencil for the first time. It’s one of the few things in life that brings me complete serenity and an infinite source of happiness.

My inspiration comes from the most exotic shapes, textures, and patterns of the natural world, because beauty is not just superficial. It is a mechanism for survival and source of diversity, and I attempt to use it in the same way. I want to create abundant, rich environments pictorially to remind people that coexisting in harmony with nature is not just essential for the health of our world, but it is crucial for our collective soul. Within my own mind, I seek to create new ecologies, teeming with myriad forms of novel life.

As a surrealist, I strive not just to reflect reality, but also reveal some of the limitless possibilities of the human imagination. By combining the natural world with the world of my imagination, I create something I feel new. In a sense, my art is my own paradise.
